31st - Three Peregrines (2 adults and a juv) were reported from Clevedon today.
 
29th - A good selection at Clevedon today with 4 Shelduck, 140 Mallard, 7 Teal, 12 Little Egrets, a Peregrine, 29 Oystercatchers, a Little Plover (unusually with the Ringed Plover and Dunlin), 70+ Ringer Plover, 2 Little Stints (juvs), 160 Dunlin, a Black-tailed Godwit, a Whimbrel, 140 Curlew, 27 Redshank, 2 Greenshank, a Green Sandpiper, 4 Common Sandpiper, 1+ Turnstone, 4 GBB Gulls (2 ad and 2 juvs), 5 Wheatears, and a Raven.
 
28th - 4 Whinchats, 3 Common Sandpipers and 8 Knot were seen at Clevedon today.
 
26th - At Clevedon there were 35+ Canada Geese, 8+ Little Egrets, 90+ Ringed Plover, a Grey Plover, 3 Knot, 60+ Dunlin (all appeared to be juv's), a Snipe, 4 Redshank, a Green Sandpiper, 4+ Common Sandpipers, 3+ Turnstones and c8 Wheatears.  Two Whinchats were at Dowlais Farm.
 
23rd - The only sighting of note at Clevedon was of 7 Teal, the first of the autumn.   At Portishead Lake Grounds there were 4 Med Gulls (3 adults and a second winter).
 
22nd - Four Peregrines were seen at Blackstone Rocks, Clevedon today.
 
20th - A staggering 98 Canada Geese were counted at Dowlais Farm, Clevedon today!!!  Also in amongst this lot was a Bar-headed Goose and a Green Sandpiper was also seen.
 
16th - Today at Clevedon there was some good counts and 13 species of wader.  Numbers were 7 Shelducks, 13 Little Egrets, 2-3 Peregrines, 23 Oystercatchers, 55+ Ringed Plover, a Golden Plover, 28 Knot, 10 Sanderling, 70 Dunlin, a Black-wit, 5 Whimbrel, 145 Curlew, 28 Redshank, 3 Green Sandpipers, 4+ Common Sandpipers, 2 Turnstones and 8 Wheatears.
 
12th - Some increase in numbers at Clevedon today with 7 Mute Swans, 4 Shelduck, 105 Mallard, a Little Grebe, 12 Little Egrets, 2 Peregrines, 24 Oystercatchers, 48 Ringed Plover, 40+ Dunlin, 3/4 Whimbrel, 130 Curlew, 8 Redshank, 1+ Greenshank, 6+ Common Sandpipers, 6 Turnstones, 650 Bk-headed Gulls, a Common Gull, 2 GBB Gulls, and a Wheatear.
 
9th - At the Clevedon Yeo this morning there were 6 Mute Swans, 38 Canada Goose, 8 Little Egrets, a  Peregrine, 14 Oystercatchers, 1+ Ringed Plover, 3 Dunlin, 4 Whimbrel, 40+ Curlew, 19 Redshank, 4 Common Sandpipers, 2 Turnstones in breeding plumage and 4 GBB Gulls.  An evening visit produced 20 Dunlin, 4 Ringed Plover, c10 Whimbrel and 8 Little Egrets.
 
6th - Today at Clevedon there were 20 Dunlin, 25 Ringed Plover, a Turnstone, 2 Whimbrel, c100 Curlew and 7 Wheatears.
 
5th -   At the Clevedon-Yeo there were 6 Buzzards, a Sparrowhawk, a Peregine, a Hobby, 2 Little Egrets, c110 Curlew, c20 Dunlin, a few Redshank, a Turnstone (still in summer plumage), a Stock Dove and a Redstart.
 
 
3rd - At the Clevedon Yeo there were 6 Little Egrets, 9 Oystercatchers, 4 Ringed Plovers, 22 Lapwing, 2 Black-wits, 9 Whimbrel, 90 Curlew, 15 Redshank, a Greenshank and a Wheatear.  A Hobby and a juvenile Stonechat were seen in the Gordano Valley.
 
2nd - Six Buzzards and a Hobby were seen in the Gordano Valley today. A Greenshank was a new arrival at the Clevedon Yeo.  This evening three Peregrines were seen at Clevedon with presumably two of these birds flying over the Salthouse pub as the patch birders arrived for their monthly pint!
