29th - Two good birds at the Clevedon-Yeo today with a 1st winter Yellow-legged Gull and a single Avocet.  Also here were c2000 Dunlin, 2 Knot, 10 Grey Plover, a few Turnstones and 4 Shoveler.
 
27th - A Short-eared Owl was at the Clevedon Kenn this evening along with 5 Linnets and a couple of Stonechats.
 
26th - Over high tide at Ladye Bay today 12 Gannets and 2 Common Scoter were seen.
 
24th - The Ring-necked duck was reported from Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve today, also there was the long staying female Goldeneye, 20 Shoveler, 9 Tufted Ducks, 6 Pochard, 12 Shelduck, 4 Gadwall, 4 Little Grebes, a Snipe and a Green Woodpecker.  Four Purple Sandpipers were at Battery Point, Portishead along with a Rock Pipit.  There were some good wader counts at the Clevedon-Yeo today.  In total there were 90 Shelduck, 3 Gadwall (mouth of Yeo), 80 Wigeon, 30 Teal, 2 Little Egrets, 20 Oystercatchers, 6 Ringed Plover, 44 Grey Plover, 80 Lapwing, 6 Knot, 6500+ Dunlin, 10+ Common Snipe, 36 Black-tailed Godwits, a Spotted Redshank, 130 Redshank, c10 Turnstones and a Stonechat.
 
20th - At the Clevedon-Yeo today there were 14 Shoveler, c500 Dunlin, c20 Grey Plover and a Water Rail.  Keep an eye on your garden feeders as their appears to be a few Brambling around the area (2/3 are regularly been seen at Ladye Bay)- and just to confirm this a male Brambling was seen on feeders at Kingston Seymour today!
 
17th - Today at the Clevedon-Yeo there were 40 Wigeon, 60 Teal, 7 Little Egrets, a Buzzard, a Peregrine (male), 4 Oystercatchers, 75 Lapwing, 450 Dunlin (including one dead with its bill stuck (frozen?) in the mud), 18 Common Snipe, 3 Jack Snipe, 70 Curlew, a Spotted Redshank, c60 Redshank, a Turnstone and a GBB Gull.
 
16th - A Ring-necked Parakeet was seen in central Clevedon today.
 
12th - 21 Little Egrets in a roost at Clevedon today and 2 Green Sandpipers at the top of the Clevedon-Yeo.
 
11th - 6 Ravens were seen over Clevedon today.
 
10th - At the Clevedon-Yeo today there were 80+ Wigeon, 30+ Teal, 4 Little Egrets, 26 Oystercatchers,  11 Ringed Plover, 32 Grey Plover, 110 Lapwing, 3 Knot, c3750 Dunlin, 8+ Common Snipe, 120 Curlew, 140 Redshank and 38 Turnstones.  The Ring-necked duck remains at Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve along with a Goldeneye, also 7 Shoveler, 10 Tufted and a few Pochard, a Water Rail in seawall ditch. Influx of Stonechat with eight on saltmarsh.  A Barn Owl was seen late afternoon here.
 
3rd - There were 4 Purple Sandpipers and a Rock Pipit at Battery Point on the high tide this afternoon and 7 Pochard (6 drakes) were on the Boating Lake here.
 
 
1st - A Common Sandpiper was seen at the top of the Clevedon Yeo today.
