31st - Some new birds at Clevedon today with 10
Little Egrets, 12 Oystercatchers, 6 Ringed Plover, a Knot, 5 Curlew Sandpipers
(all in breeding plumage), 18 Dunlin, 2 Black-tailed Godwits, 6 Whimbrel, 75
Curlew, 15+ Redshank, a Spotted Redshank, 3 Greenshank, 5 Green Sandpipers, 10
Common Sandpipers, a Turnstone and 3 Wheatears. A Cettis Warbler was heard
neat Broadstone Lane.
29th - Two Sand Martins and a summer plumaged
Knot were seen at Dowlais Farm this evening.
27th - At Portbury Wharf it was fairly quiet, a
couple of Tufted Duck broods were seen of 4 and 5 young, 3 juvenile Cettis
Warblers and 5 Green Woodpeckers were also seen. Plenty of song from Reed,
Sedge, Cettis Warbler to liven it up. On the coast here (mostly in Chapel
Pill) were 6 Teal, a Grey Plover, 10 Dunlin, 5 Whimbrel, 30 Curlew, 45 Redshank,
2 Green Sandpipers and, 4 Common Sandpipers.

26th - A Med Gull was at the local hot-spot,
Portishead Lake Grounds. (thanks to Chris Clarke for the pic)

24th - At the Clevedon-Yeo today there were 16+
Shelduck, a Peregrine, 7 Little Egrets, 2 Oystercatchers, 2 Lapwing, 2 Whimbrel,
40+ Curlew, a Spotted Redshank 1 (a bit of a surprise - an adult in winter
plumage), 10+ Redshank, 11 Common Sandpipers and 300+ Bk-headed Gulls.
20th - Some evidence of autumn passage today.
At Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve there was a juvenile Hobby, 3 Little Grebes, 2
Gadwall, 5 Tufted Ducks (with two broods totalling 7 young seen), c25 Redshank,
c10 Black-tailed Godtits, a few Dunlin and 6 Curlew. Meanwhile at the
Clevedon-Yeo there were c20 Shelduck (mostly juvs.), 4 Little Egrets, 6
Oystercatchers, a Ringed Plover, 5 Lapwing, 11 Dunlin, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 5
Whimbrel, 110 Curlew, 32 Redshank, 9 Common Sandpipers, 4 Turnstones and a
Wheatear.
19th Two adult Med Gulls were at Portishead Lake
Grounds today, one was ringed which was partially read as'90', would be
interesting if someone can get the full details.
13th - At the Clevedon-Yeo today there were 15+
Shelduck (+18 juvs), 4 Little Egrets, 4 Peregrines, 2+ Oystercatchers, 6 Dunlin,
2 Whimbrel, 25+ Curlew, 15+ Redshank and an influx of Common Sandpipers with 11.
Breeding success at Portbury Wharf Nature includes 6 Tufted Duck broods and a
pair of Oystercatchers, also here today were a few Common Sandpipers and a
Cettis Warbler.
7th - Today at Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve
there were 150 Redshank, a Spotted Redshank, a Greenshank plus a few Dunlin, a
Stonechat, a Turnstone on north pool island (unusual here).
6th - Little Change at the Clevedon-Yeo, however
a Little Ringed Plover was a nice find, also here were 9 Dunlin, 24 Redshank,
c80 Curlew, a Turnstone, 4 Oystercatchers, 5 Little Egrets, a Peregrine, a
Buzzard, 42 Shelduck and a Cettis Warbler.


3rd - At the Clevedon-Yeo today there were 45
Shelduck, 4 Little Egrets, 6 Oystercatcher, 1 Lapwing, 4 Dunlin, 2/3 Whimbrel,
55 Curlew, 5 Redshank, 6 Common Sandpipers and 40 Linnets.
