30th - An early morning visit to Clevedon produced 4+ Little Egret, 22
Shelduck chicks, 2+ Peregrines, Buzzard, Kestrel, 12 Oystercatcher, 7 Ringed
Plover, 6+ Dunlin (very poor number), Lapwing, 160+ Curlew, 4+ Whimbrel, 3
Redshank (again very poor, Peregrines???), 3+ Common Sandpipers, 2 Swallows
8+ House Martins and 60+ Linnets.
29th - There were 56 Redshanks 5 Turnstone at Portishead today.
25th - early AM - No sign of the Hen Harrier first thing. Otherwise at Clevedon there were three Peregrines, one Little Egret, nine Whimrel, five Common Sandpipers and one Redshank (where are they all?).
At Portbury Wharf/Docks there were 30 Dunlin, six Ringed Plover, six Common Sandpipers, six Little Grebes, a Black Tailed Godwit, 20 Oystercatchers and 58 Curlew.
24th - A great find of a Hen Harrier late this evening on the sea wall near Channel View Farm, otherwise just a few Ringed Plover and Dunlin to report.
22nd - Some more variety at Clevedon today with a surprise find of two Little Terns close in shore. Also seen were five Ravens, one Bar-Tailed Godwit, 12 Dunlin, three Knot, three Little Egrets, two Whimbrel, c60 Curlew and two Wheatears.
20th - The first Wheatear of the autumn ( have you had your summer holiday yet? ) was seen on the sea wall at Clevedon this evening along with c40 Dunlin and a few Curlew.
19th - A good collection of birds of prey were seen in the area of the Lower Strode road, Clevedon today with Little Owl in the orchard at Dowlais farm and further along there was a Sparrowhawk. Three Herons sat on gate along the lane that leads onto the sea wall and Buzzard was seen. A Peregrine was on the radio masts.
18th - A late evening visit to Portbury Wharf produced a Barn Owl, 3 Sparrowhawks ( 2 juv's) and literally hundreds of Swifts over the CEGB pool, which contained 2 Little Grebes.
At this Clevedon Yeo this morning there were 3 Peregrines, c120 Curlew, 3 Whimbrel, 4/5 Common Sandpipers, Greenshank, 2 Sanderling, 30 Dunlin, Ringed Plover, 6 Oystercatchers, 3 Redshank (very low) and 4/5 Little Egrets.

17th - In the Portbury Wharf/Dock are today there were c300 Dunlin, 84 Redshank, one Common Sandpiper, Shelduck broods of 6, 8 & 7 were seen. There were 6 Little Grebes ( one Juvenille ) on the CEGB pool.
15th - Very little at Clevedon today with only 3 or 4 Whimbrel, a Peregrine, Little Egret, 3+ Common Sandpipers and no small waders. Black Headed Gulls increased to 240+.
11th - It was a quiet morning at Clevedon with only 3 juvenile Kestrels, 2 Peregrines, 15 Dunlin, 5 Common Sandpipers, 3 Little Egrets, 120 Black Headed Gulls and 60+ Curlew of note. This afternoon two summer plumaged Sanderling were seen, along with 9 Dunlin and c70 Curlew.
At Portbury Wharf there was a summer plumaged Black Tailed Godwit, 84 Redshank, 60 Curlew and 20 Dunlin.
10th - At Portbury Wharf today there were 37 Dunlin, 43 Redshank, 34 Curlew, a Whimbrel, three Shelduck broods of 8,8 & 10 were seen. A Willow Warbler and two Lesser Whitethroats were also present.
4th - In the Clevedon Yeo area this morning the following birds were seen; Male Ruff is still at the Yeo, four Little Egrets, four Common Sandpipers, 4 Oystercatchers, c20 Redshank, 164 Curlew were roosting at the Yeo, c40 Linnet. A Little Owl was seen at Dowlais Farm(Lower Strode Road). Two Sparrowhawks were also seen in the area.

3rd - Seawatching was again very productive from Ladye Bay with 664 Manx Shearwaters, two Fulmars, 5 Gannet, 5 Common Scoter and one Great Skua seen this morning. No one was watching between 8am and 10am so it is highly probable that over a 1000 Manx Shearwaters flew past Clevedon this morning.
2nd - The strong winds overnight meant that a staggering c600 manx Shearwater were seen from Clevedon this morning along with a few Gannets and Fulmars.
