27th - A quieter day at Clevedon with 6 Mute Swan, 15 adult Shelduck (+ 4 broods), 90 Mallard, 2 Tufted Duck, a Little Grebe, 2 Cormorant, 7 Grey Heron (3 juv's). 3 Little Egret, single Buzzard, 2 Kestrel, 8 Oystercatcher, 1 Ringed Plover, 24 Lapwing, 4 Dunlin, a Bar-tailed Godwit, 40 Curlew, 6 Redshank, 5 Common Sandpiper, 60 Black-headed Gull, 10 Herring Gull, 4 Lesser Black-backed Gull, a Great Black-backed Gull, 5 Stock Dove, 4 Swift, 20 Swallow, 5 Pied Wagtail and 55 Linnet.  At the Royal Portbury Docks there was a Med Gull, a Ringed Plover, a Dunlin, 55 Curlew and a Common Sandpiper.

24th - At last a few things of interest to report from Clevedon with 4 Mute Swan, 25 adult Shelduck + 4 broods, 65 Mallard, a Tufted Duck, 3 Little Egret, 3 Grey Heron, 15 Oystercatcher, 2 Ringed Plover, 32 Lapwing, 65 Curlew, 6 Redshank, a Green Sandpiper, 5 Common Sandpiper (Yeo Est), 70 Black-headed Gull, 35 Herring Gull, 4 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 8 Swallow, 3 Pied Wagtail, 10 Reed Warbler and 60 Linnet.  At Portbury Wharf there was a Barn Owl out hunting over the fields at dawn and Redshank numbers up to 30 birds now at Chapel Pill. In the afternoon, a Hobby over the pools and 2 Little Owls out on fence posts.

18th - At Portbury Wharf today there was a single Lapwing, 2 Black-tailed Godwits (in breeding plumage), 5 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaff, 2 Linnet and 3 Reed Bunting of note.

16th - In the Portbury Wharf/Docks area there were 3 Gadwall, 26 Tufted Ducks, a Hobby, a Peregrine, 4 Redshank, 3 Cettis Warblers and a Lesser Whitethroat.

13th - A high tide visit to Clevedon this morning showed that it is still quiet with 8 Oystercatchers, c35 Curlew, a single Knot, 2 Lapwing, 2 Redshank, a Dunlin, c20 Shelduck (broods of 15, 3 and 2 seen), 2 Little Egrets, 2 Grey Herons, 3 Buzzards and 6 Linnet.

11th - A Barn Owl was hunting at dusk at Portbury Wharf, otherwise it was very quiet here.

9th - At Portbury Wharf there were 4 Little Grebe, 15 Tufted Duck (mostly males), at least 5 Mallard broods now, 4 Redshank, 2 Cetti's Warbler and a few Reed Warblers around the pools.

6th - A Barn Owl was seen at Portbury Wharf this morning (thanks to Steve Judd for the great pic).  An afternoon trip to the coast at Clevedon showed that it was very quiet with c55 Shelduck (2 broods of 6 and 2 seen), c50 Mallard, 9 Oystercatchers, 5 Dunlin, 3 Skylarks, c23 Linnet, a Rock Pipit, a Little Egret and a Buzzard only of note.

5th - A Cuckoo was heard at the Perfect Bite Pools, Clevedon this evening.  Three Cetti's Warblers are three Reed Buntings noted at Portbury Wharf.

4th - Three Pochard at Portbury Wharf were new in, also here were 3 Cetti's Warblers.

2nd - A Hobby was reported from Portbury Wharf today.
