28th - An early morning visit to the Clevedon Yeo produced 35 Shelduck plus broods of 15 and 3, 8/9 Little Egrets, 7 Oystercatchers, 2 Lapwing, 75 Curlew, 32 Redshank including one juvenile, a Common Sandpiper, 120 Black-headed Gull plus one juvenile, a Rock Pipit, 2 Ravens and 70+ Linnets.
 
24th - It continues to be very quiet.  At Portbury Wharf there were 2 Peregrines, a Male Redstart, a Kingfisher and a Grey Wagtail in amongst lots of common Warblers and Hirundines.
 
 
 
22nd - Today at Portbury Wharf there was a Cetti's Warbler, a Barn Owl, 6 Tufted Ducks, 30 Coot, 5 Little Grebes and 2 Peregrines.  At Walton Moor there were 6 Buzzards, 2 Wheatears and 4 Mistle Thrush.
 
18th - At Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve today there were 11 Redshank, 1 Whimbrel, 1 Hobby, 3 Tufted Duck, 2 Sand Martins and 2 Reed Buntings. The Goldeneye seems to have disappeared.
 
17th - Very quiet at Clevedon as you would expect at this time of year, highlights included, 25+ Shelduck with 28 juvs (probably 4 broods), 6 Little Egrets, 8 Oystercatchers, 4+ Lapwing, 2 Dunlin, 2 Whimbrel, 34 Curlew, 8+ Redshank, a GBB Gull and 2 Ravens.
 
15th - A female Redstart was unsual sighting in the Dial Hill area of Clevedon this evening.
 
12th -  Two Hobbies and a Peregrine were seen at Portbury Wharf. 
 
11th - The Goldeneye remained at Portbury Wharf along with a Black Tailed Godwit, a Barn Owl, 20+ Dunlin and 8 Ringed Plover.  At the Clevedon Yeo there were 2 Shelduck broods including one of 14, along with some Lapwing and Redshank families. 
9th - Nothing to report for days and out of the blue a Great White Egret is seen flying south down the coast at Clevedon this evening.  It will be looked for again in the morning.
 
7th - Another Red Kite sighting in the Gordano Valley at lunchtime today (probably an adult bird).
 
5th - At Clevedon there were 15 Dunlin, 14 Ringed Plover, a Knot, the two Shelduck broods along with c70 other non-breeding Shelduck.
 
4th - The first Shelduck broods of the year were seen at Clevedon today with two broods of 11 and 5, also here were 5 Little Egrets, 8+ Oystercatchers, 24 Ringed Plover, a Knot, 2 Sanderling, 32 Dunlin, 3 Whimbrel, 9 Curlew, a Cuckoo, a Wheatear and a Cetti's Warbler.
 
3rd - Two Crossbills were seen and heard flying over Walton Common this morning.  At Portbury Wharf there were a few Bullfinch, Reed Warbler, Sedge Warblers, Little Grebes etc.. and the long staying female Goldeneye was on one of the pools, otherwise it was fairly quiet.
 
1st - Today at Clevedon there were 45+ Shelduck, 9 Little Egrets, 10 Oystercatches, 5 Ringed Plover, 8 Lapwing, 15 Dunlin, 3 Whimbrel, 7 Curlew, 6 Redshank, 2 GBB Gulls, 2 Wheatears and 3+ Whitethroats.
