31st - The month ends with 2 Wheatears, 3 Swallows, 1 Sand Martin, Chiffchaff, Raven, Shelduck (fly-over) and a pair of stonechats at Weston Moor this afternoon.
30th - At Clevedon today there was a Bar-headed Goose, 55+Shelduck, 80 Wigeon, 90+ Teal, 18 Oystercatchers, 8 Lapwing, 6 Grey Plover, 4 Dunlin, 2 Snipe, 45 Curlew, Spotted Redshank, 130 Redshank, 36 Turnstone, 3 White Wagtails, 6+ Swallow, 6 Sand Martins, 2 Wheatear, a Stonechat and a Chiffchaff.
29th - The first Willow Warbler of the year was found today at the Clevedon-Yeo along with 11 Wheatears and a Swallow.
28th - More seawatching today with good results. From Battery Point 3 Arctic Skuas and 8 Common Scoter were seen. This morning from Ladye Bay 16 - 22 Gannets, 1 Fulmar and 14 Kittiwakes whilst this evening there were 150 Kittiwakes, 6-9 Common Scoter, 40 Wigeon and 2 Arctic Skuas. At Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve there were 9 Little Grebes, 5 Chiffchaffs, 4 Sand Martins and 4 Goldcrests. I had to make do with 5 Red Kites on the train from Bristol to London, oh well! The sad thing is probably no one else on the train noticed them, brightens up any trip.
27th - Ten Sand Martins were seen at Clevedon today and a seawatch from Ladye Bay late this afternoon produced 23 Gannets, a Common Scoter, a Guillemot, 2 Kittiwakes and 2 Skua sp.
26th - Another showery, milder day with a southerly wind. The second Osprey if the year was seen making it's way up the coast at Clevedon today. Also at Clevedon were 6 Little Gulls, a Sandwich Tern, 3 Wheatears, 90 Wigeon, 90+ Teal, 2 Shoveler, 16 Oystercatchers, 16 Grey Plover, 4+ Lapwing, 45+ Dunlin, 4+ Snipe, 135+ Redshank, Spotted Redshank, Green Sandpiper, 8 Little Egrets and a Swallow.

25th - Despite the nearly non-stop rain, migration kicked off today with 8 Wheatear, Merlin and a Swallow at the Clevedon-Yeo. A Sandwich Tern, a Whimbrel, 2 White Wagtail, a Brambling and 10 Bullfinch were seen from Wains Hill. Seawatching from Ladye bay produced 12 Common Scoter and a Great Crested Grebe.
24th - A great bird at last with an Osprey seen flying over the Perfect Bite Pools at Kingston Seymour this afternoon. At Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve the Spotted Redshank and Goldeneye were seen along with 120 Dunlin, 1 Grey Plover, 1 Jack Snipe, 7 Snipe and the usual other ducks.
23rd - A Little Gull was seen at the mouth of the Clevedon Yeo this morning along with 2 Black-tailed Godwits and 6 Knot and the Spotted Sandpiper. Another Spotted Redshank was at Portbury Wharf, also there was the long staying female Goldeneye, 11 Shoveler and 9 Tufted Ducks.
21st - Little to reports, except that it is not quite so cold! At Weston Moor a Stonechat and three Buzzards were seen and a Chiffchaff was seen at Clevedon. A Wheatear was seen at Brean Down today, so keep an eye out!
19th - A brighter day, but the cold wind persists and so still no
migrants. At Clevedon today there were 100 Wigeon, 75 Teal, Little
Grebe, 3 Little Egrets, 17 Oystercatchers, 28 Grey Plover, 35 Lapwing, 3+
Knot, 110 Dunlin, Snipe 18 at Kenn + 9 at at Yeo Bank Farm, 3 Jack Snipe 3
at Wain's Hill + 3 at Yeo Bank farm, 65 Curlew, Spotted Redshank, 130+
Redshank, 18+ Turnstone and 2 Common Gull. A Bar-headed goose which
has been seen just off patch did the decent thing and appeared on the
Blind-Yeo today. At Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve a Raven and the
female Goldeneye were seen.
18th - The cold spell continues, so no sign of any migrants. The female Goldeneye was still at Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve along with a couple of Shoveler. Four Goosander were on the Blind-Yeo at Clevedon and 2 Water Pipits was at the mouth of the Yeo. Thanks to Bill Dixon for this picture of a Bar-tailed Godwit at Clevedon today.

17th - Three Siskins reported from a Clevedon garden.
16th - A cold day at Clevedon with no sign of any migrants, seen were 90 Wigeon, 100+ Teal, 1 Little Egret, 32 Oystercatchers, 7 Ringed Plover, 28 Grey Plover, 4 Knot, 130 Dunlin, 15 Snipe, Jack Snipe, 90 Curlew, 170 Redshank, 35 Turnstone, Water Pipit (near mouth of Kenn), 2+ Rock Pipit, 10+ Redwing and 4+ Fieldfare.
13th - Seven Common Scoter were seen from Portbury Wharf along with a Barn Owl, 13 Stonechats (overnight influx) and the usual ducks. At Walton Bay there were 14 Stonechats with another 12 at Weston Moor.
12th - An afternoon visit to Portbury Wharf produced the female Goldeneye, 12 Shoveler, 8 Tufted Ducks, Little Grebe, Peregrine, 10 Snipe, Jack Snipe, 2 Stonechats and c15 Rock Pipits.
11th - A Red Kite was seen over Marshall Field, Clevedon this afternoon. At Portbury Wharf today there were 13 Tufted Ducks, 9 Shoveler, female Goldeneye, Spotted Redshank, Short Eared Owl, Stonechat and 2 Chiffchaff.
9th - The strong winds in the Channel produced a possible blue phase Fulmar, 15 Gannets and a Fulmar past Ladye Bay. At Portbury Wharf Nature Reserve today there were 2 Little Grebes, 11 Shoveler, 6 Tufted Ducks, Green Woodpecker and a Peregrine. Three Golden Plover were at the Clevedon-Yeo along with a drake Shoveler.
