14th - The two Wryneck remained at Clevedon today

13th - You wait 6 years for a decent tickable
Wryneck and overnight you suddenly have 2 in the same place. Both showed
well all day at Clevedon, thanks to Allen Chard for the pics. Quite a lot
of Siskins were noted to be on the move today, which seems quite early. In

Kingfisher, 2 Green Woodpeckers, 5 Wheatears, 4 Cettis Warblers, a Whitethroat,
4 Blackcaps, 20+ Chiffchaffs and a Willow Warbler.
12th - A Wryneck was a very nice find today at
the Clevedon-Yeo, it was frequenting the sea wall near Channel View Farm,
the same area as the last Wryneck found by one of the regular patch watchers in
August 2002. Hopefully it will stay a few days to allow the other patch
regulars (stuck in traffic on the M5!) to catch up with it.

and 18 Wheatears.
10th - A Marsh Harrier and a Crossbill were seen
from Wains Hill today.
7th - After taking a few photos of a sick
Whimbrel at Clevedon this morning I turned around to find an Osprey flying low
over the tideline c25m from me, after enjoying this great bird for a few seconds
I got the camera out again, unfortunately it had slipped into video mode so I
shot a couple of seconds of very poor video (see below!), by the time I
realised my mistake it was out of photo range, gggrrrrr..... Also at Clevedon was a rubbish Peregrine, in the time I was there I saw it hunt
unsuccessfully a wader sp, a Manx Shearwater, a Woodpigeon and a Mallard, it's a
juvenile so hopefully it will get better. Also at the Clevedon-Yeo were 9
Knot, c30 Ringed Plover, c30 Dunlin, 18 Oystercatchers, c100 Curlew, c40
